Project Aims.

The Aim of the project is to provide a spectacle for the general public and educational resource for the local school children and an asset to pass onto future generations.

Initial Stages.

At the initial stages it is hoped to gain knowledge from an 1850s and or 1921 Ordinance Survey Maps of the area, in order to determine exactly what was previously there.  Plans may well be found in local family archives, or that of the Land Registry.

We recognise that in a park comprising Trees, Shrubs and numerous rare or unusual plants, GARDENS 15 05 07 005 (2)that many could be “choked out” by the inevitable advance of well-established, un-maintained shrubbery and of natural weed growth.  Throughout the project a number of surveys will be carried out e.g.. An Ecological Survey, Rhododendron survey, Tree Condition Survey and a Feasibility Study through External Agencies,  the results of which will be available for you to view upon completion on our Projects Page.

Later Aims.

Any longer or further aims would depend upon the results of the initial stages outlined above.  They must also depend upon the wishes of Mr. Tenison.
